About the film:
I have been used to mastering everything, but one day everything stops. I am hospitalized at a psychiatric ward, diagnosed with severe depression. Electroshock becomes the rescue. I get my old life back, but the “good girl”-reflexes are in my backbone. Will I lose everything once again? “Good Girl” is a documentary about me and my family. A film about being perfect and imperfect, about control and the loss of control, about being anxious about anxiety, and about laughing when things are the darkest. As my brother says before my first session of shock-therapy: “This will really kick-start the weekend.
